Thanks to the generosity of Rob and Emily Goodrich, the Ouimet Fund has formalized an internship program that will provide hands-on experience within the organization for a Ouimet Scholar.
Cooper Lawlor ’27, a junior at Suffolk University who performed his service to golf at Norfolk Golf Club, has been selected as the first Rob & Emily Goodrich Intern.
“The hands-on experience both of us gained through internships early in our respective careers was invaluable, and we are so proud to help make this transformative opportunity possible for a deserving Ouimet Scholar,” said Rob and Emily Goodrich.
The couple were inspired by their own early professional experiences, Rob as a Ouimet Alumnus and former Ouimet Fund intern, and Emily through a formative internship that helped launch her career. Rob is a current member of the Ouimet Fund’s Board of Directors.
Lawlor has earned a 3.87 GPA as a finance major with a minor in real estate in Suffolk’s Sawyer Business School. Outside the classroom, he is an event coordinator for the Suffolk University Real Estate Club and is a member of the Finance and Investing Club. He also currently works as a career ambassador in the Suffolk University Career Center.
