On Wednesday, November 14, historic Fenway Park played home to Ouimet 100’s kickoff, the first of many events to  celebrate the centennial of Francis Ouimet’s 1913 U.S. Open victory.

Over 270 friends of The Fund filled the State Street Pavilion Club to enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a special panel of local and national golf media.  Panelists included Mark Mulvoy (Former Senior Editor, Sports Illustrated) as Master of Ceremonies & Ouimet 100 Ambassador, Tim Rosaforte (Golf Channel & Golf World Reporter), Bill Fields (Senior Editor, Golf World), Mike Whitmer (Golf Writer, The Boston Globe) and Mike Trostel (USGA Museum Curator/Historian & Ouimet Alumnus).  The panel interacted with the crowd, discussing Francis Ouimet’s impact to the game of golf and the legacy that The Fund has continued in his honor.
