In early August, caddies and members of The Country Club joined forces for a fantastic day of golf, food, stories and plenty of laughs. The member caddie relationship was important to Mr. Ouimet and remains a priority for the Ouimet Fund. It’s clearly a major piece of the club culture at the historic club on Clyde Street.
Mixing caddies and members within the foursomes, caddies also competing for individual honors the golf preceded an energetic cookout on the pool patio. This is where the 2015 season caddie honors were given out by Director of Operations Joe Gulley. It was a fulfilling evening for the Ouimet Fund staff to be on hand to witness the announcing of “Caddie of the Year” (Sean Galvin) and “Rookie of the Year” (Billy Daniel). It is great to see such enthusiasm keep this element of the golf experience thriving.
Congratulations to all the caddies and thank you to the TCC staff and membership who support The Fund so much and promote the scholarship opportunities to their young golf employees!
