On Sunday, June 14, golfers participated in the 2015 Jerry Daly Father and Son Invitational. It was a great day for golf at The Kittansett Club, and the golf course did not surrender many low scores.

In the overall division, there was a sudden-death playoff to determine the 2015 Champion. The father-son teams of Duncan & John Gratton and Mark & Josh Savel both shot a gross score of 73 to force the playoff. Congratulations to 2015 Champions, Duncan & John Gratton, who won on the first playoff hole. Duncan Gratton clinched the victory with a downhill three-foot putt for par. Congratulations to both teams on a great finish and great playing.

In the Kittansett Flight, congratulations to our Champions Bill & William Rurode, who shot a net 68 to win by one shot over the team of Stephen & Brian Heacox.

In the Ouimet Flight, a scorecard playoff between Terrence & Mark Tedeschi and Thomas & Nick Poulos, who both shot 67, determined the winner. The scorecard playoff came down to the last 6 holes and Terrence & Mark Tedeschi are the Ouimet Flight Champions.

The Daly Invitation annually benefits the Ouimet Fund’s Jerry Daly Scholarship. Mr. Daly was a prominent golf industry executive and top notch amateur golfer who died in 2002. The Daly event is now in its 12th year. Scholar Meredith Sullivan, a recent Syracuse University graduate (seen in the photo above), was the Daly recipient the past two years.
