As a current Ouimet Scholar, when does the re-application process start?

The re-application link will be emailed to you on April 15th.  Due June 30th are the following items:

  • Re-application and essay
  • Spring Transcript
  • If applying for a financial award:
    • Copy of your completed FAFSA student aid report
    • CSS Profile using the Ouimet code (0467)
    • Copy of financial aid letter for the upcoming school year

As a current Ouimet Scholar, do I have specific deadlines to meet?

YES, your brief re-application, official transcript indicating a cumulative GPA, FAFSA, CSS/Profile and FAL (Financial Aid Letter) must be submitted by June 30.

What if I don’t have all the documentation I need by the June 30 deadline?  Should I hold my paperwork and mail everything in together?

NO, but please email Michelle Edwards what you have today and let us know which paperwork will be missing and when you anticipate you will have it.

I am a re-applicant and completed financial aid forms when I first applied.  Do I have to complete them again?

YES, all current Scholars reapplying and seeking a financial award must complete both the FAFSA  and CSS/Profile each year.

Do I need to complete any financial forms?

YES, all applicants seeking a financial award must complete both the FAFSA and the CSS/Profile.

How do I complete the financial forms?

The easiest way to file these forms is online.

FAFSA: First-time filers must first apply for a U.S. Department of Education PIN by visiting www.pin.ed.gov.  If you have previously filed a FAFSA, go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.  The Ouimet Fund does not have a code number for the FAFSA.  A few days after filing your FAFSA you must go back online and access your SAR (Student Aid Report), print it out and email to Michelle at The Fund.  Your SAR will provide us with your EFC (Effective Family Contribution) that is necessary in our calculations. For questions pertaining to your FAFSA, please call 800.801.0576.

CSS/Profile: Go to www.collegeboard.com.  Please use the Ouimet Fund’s code: 0467.  For questions pertaining to your CSS/Profile, please call 800.778.6888.

The school I am attending does not require the CSS/Profile.  Do I still need to complete this financial form?

YES, all applicants seeking a financial award must complete both the FAFSA and the CSS/Profile.
