This award was established in 2004 and is funded in part by proceeds of the Deutsche Bank Championship, of which the Tiger Woods Foundation is the principal beneficiary. The Tiger Woods Foundation Scholarship is for an inner-city scholar.
The Tiger Woods Foundation fifth annual scholarship winner for 2009-2010 is Tad DeBarros. Tad is a junior at the University of Miami with a 3.2 GPA. Tad did his service to golf at The Country Club, site of the 1999 Ryder Cup, where he was a caddie for two years. He is currently a standout rugby player at Miami, along with being involved in various other activities at Miami.
