The Kenerson Award was established after his death in 2004. Mr. Kenerson was a former president (1992-1994) of the Ouimet Fund, a long time member of the Scholarship Committee and had a superb record in competitive golf. As Ouimet Fund president, he started the Ouimet Marathon and worked tirelessly on the effort to put an addition on The Fund’s former building in Weston. Mr. Kenerson was a member of Brae Burn Country Club and the Kenerson Award is for a caddie from that club.
Our scholarship winner this year is Eric King of Lexington. Eric performed his service to golf as a caddie at Brae Burn Country Club for six years. Eric is currently a junior at the University of Pennsylvania where he is majoring in Economics. Eric and his brother were instrumental in raising $11,000 to purchase defibrillators
