This award was established in 2004 and is for a Ouimet Scholar attending nursing school, intending to attend medical school, or for former Ouimet Scholars currently attending medical school.
Our 2009-2010 Barrett-O’Hara Scholarship winner is Brett McKenzie. Brett is a junior at Boston University where he is majoring in biomedical engineering and maintains a 3.4 GPA. He performed his service to golf at Haverhill Country Club where he worked in the Pro Shop for two years. He also played in our Marathon the past two years. After graduation Brett would like to pursue a graduate degree or medical degree, and then work in medicine or do industry research in the bio-med field.
Over the next few months we will be highlighting our various Endowed Scholarships, giving you a glimpse into who created them, and what scholars are recipients for 2010.
