Ouimet Fund Elects New President and Officers, Adds Directors

Richard J. Barrett of Charles River Country Club and Westwood, MA was elected as the 27th President of the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund at The Fund’s 60th Annual Meeting at Charles River Country Club on October 27, 2008.
Mr. Barrett has been a member of the Ouimet Board of Director since 2003, and a member of its Board Governance, Development and Finance committees. He is an executive at Wellington Management. He is a Ouimet Scholarship alumnus and a Lifetime Member of the Francis Ouimet Society. He succeeds Ted Highberger, also of Charles River.
Joining Mr. Barrett on the Executive Committee are Richard Reilly of Brae Burn Country Club as 1st Vice President, Terrence Kennedy of Farm Neck Golf Club as 2nd Vice President, Scott Adler of Woodland Golf Club as Treasurer, and Dennis Kelly of Taconic Golf Club as Clerk.
One new Director was elected at the Annual Meeting. Joining the Ouimet Board is Susan Curtin of Boston Golf Club and Westwood.
