Crestview Country Club Director of Golf David DIRICO addresses a group of leaders of clubs from Western Massachusetts on October 23. A total of 14 clubs were represented in the event which created awareness of the Ouimet Fund’s activities and was a significant fund raiser. Mr. DIRICO, a member of the Ouimet Fund’s Club relations Committee, conceived and managed the event. Over the past ten years 124 students from Western Mass. have received over $850,000 in Ouimet Scholarships. Ouimet Alum John Shay, who was in the first class of scholars in 1949, was a special participant and 2008 Ouimet Chair of the Year Mike Grilli of Worcester addressed the group about the importance of club support.
